This position offers the option to work remotely up to 3 days per week and can be headquartered at 1 W Wilson Street in Madison or one of our regional offices.
The schedule may vary based on training or operational need.

Position Summary The DPH Workforce Development Coordinator will support the Division of Public Health's workforce in skill growth, leadership development, and peer connection and mentorship.
In this position you will:
Develop novel training programming Leverage existing training resources Monitor ongoing skill and competency growth amongst DPH staff Make data-driven decisions for curriculum development Collaborate across the Division and Department to ensure alignment of training and staff development activities A key goal will be to increase the percentage of DPH staff who self-report adequate understanding of, and training in, the Foundational Public Health Services Model and the associated core competencies identified in the model including an emphasis on health equity.
Salary Information The starting salary is between $29.
00 to $34.
00 per hour (approximately between $60,000 to $70,000 per year), depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits.
A 12-month probationary period is required.
Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction.
This position is classified as a Staff Development Program Specialist and is in pay schedule and range 81/04.
Job Details All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.

Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:
Experience presenting topics or issues both verbally and in writing to diverse audiences.
Experience developing and administering training, or providing technical assistance (e.
g.
, answer training questions, troubleshoot online training, etc.
) Experience leading mentoring, orientation, or onboarding programs.
Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:
Experience or formal training with adult learning theory and practice.
Experience guiding individuals through career development opportunities.
Experience with workforce development with special emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion topics.
Experience conducting needs assessments.
