DPH is recruiting for a Director - Office for Resource Center Development (ORCD) within the Bureau of Aging and Disability Resources.
This position may be located at one of the five Regional Offices and will work full-time, Monday-Friday with daytime hours.
This position is expected to work a minimum of 2 days per week in the office with the opportunity of 3 days remote work as well.
This schedule may vary based on training or operational needs.

Position Summary The Director of ORCD has responsibility for the overall administration and implementation of the statewide Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) program.
ADRCs are one-stop shops where people can go to find unbiased information, assistance and resources related to aging or living with a disability.
The ORCD Director has the following
Responsibilities:
Hire, lead and develop employees responsible for supervision, program and policy development, quality assurance, operations management, and administration of the ADRC program Foster a human-centered work environment that attracts talent and maintains high employee retention Oversee the development and consistent implementation of contract requirements, policies, procedures and standards for the diverse core services of the ADRC Develop and frequently refine training, technical assistance, and protocols for carrying out the functions of the ADRCs based on data and program evaluation.
This position serves as an advocate for older adults and people with disabilities and is expected to work closely and in partnership with the broad network of aging and disability partners in accomplishing the goals of the Office.
The ORCD Director participates in state and national meetings and conferences and interacts with federal funders and evaluators to encourage appropriate funding and regulations.
This position is expected to work closely with other leaders and teams within the Bureau, Division and Department to coordinate services, develop public policies that are person-centered, and ensure that ADRCs are appropriately represented in the long-term care system.
Salary Information The starting salary is between $42.
00 to $46.
00 per hour (approximately $87,300 to $95,60 per year), depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits.
A 12-month probationary period is required.
Pay for current or former employees is based upon the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction.
This position is classified as Human Services Supervisor and the pay schedule and range is 81-02.
Job Details All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
For positions that do allow remote working flexibility, although residency in the State of WI is not required for permanent positions, it is not anticipated that working outside of WI or bordering cities will be allowed as positions may at times need to report to office locations in WI on short notice.
DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.
Employees must have access to secure high-speed internet for remote work option.
Mileage reimbursement to the employee's headquarter location is not provided.
Remote work flexibility will be discussed in more detail during the interview process Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:
Formal management/supervisory experience in a human or social services, public health, or related field.
Experience managing or leading projects, motivating people, forging cooperative working relationships, providing leadership in problem solving, or developing consensus to help diverse groups develop strategies to accomplish mutual goals.
Experience leading large-scale initiatives or statewide programs, including experience providing strategic direction, developing strategic plans, or goal setting.
Experience working with people from diverse communities, including older adults, LGBTQ+, people from a variety of racial and ethnic backgrounds, or people with disabilities.
Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:
Experience giving public presentations to convey complex information and issues to department decision-makers, community advocates and to members of the general public.
Experience in analyzing research and developing policy and program recommendations that address intersections of marginalized identities and social determinants of health.
Experience with ADRCs and/or community-based aging or disability programs and services.
