This position may allow hybrid work for a portion of the work schedule up to 95% depending on the employee's preference and needs of the work unit.

There is no mileage reimbursement when traveling to the headquarter location.

Position Summary This position functions as a subject matter expert and provides technical guidance, analysis and consulting services on the operations and adequacy of security technology and configurations in alignment with the Department, Enterprise and regulatory entities policies and standards.
This position will take a lead role in working with other DCF staff, Department of Administration (DOA) and various other external entities to maintain the Confidentiality, Integrity and Accessibility of the department's data and systems.

Salary Information The starting salary is between $32.
20 and $48.
00 per hour ($66,976 and $99,840 annually), depending on qualifications.
Pay for current State of WI employees will be based on the compensation plan in effect at the time of the appointment.
The pay schedule/range is 07-33.
A one-year probationary period may be required.
Job Details Due to the nature of the position, final candidates will be required to complete a comprehensive fingerprint-based background investigation to determine whether the circumstances of any pending charges or convictions would be substantially related to the job being filled.

Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have:
Experience designing and implementing IT Security Controls Experience working as an information security subject matter expert for IT projects Experience working with security tools such as anti-malware, web filtering, user/file monitoring, Splunk, etc.
Well-qualified applicants will have:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
