Key duties include editing short form and long form content for social media platforms along with assembling recorded video, audio, and graphics, applying the latest editing techniques, and creating finished projects that accurately reflect the vision of the Social Media Content Creator Lead.
As an editor this role will be asked to primarily edit outside social media platforms using the Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro) and have knowledge in app tools specific to each platform, including but not limited to Instagram and TikTok editing tools.
The main function of this role is to edit content for better social engagement by getting people excited about a topic that people identify with.
A Social Media Editor will develop best practices and maintain our brand's content release schedule.
In this role, you will be required to develop content and ensure consistency in the brand's digital tone and image.
To ensure success as a Social Media Editor, you should have a keen eye for detail and experience with a variety of social media networks.
A skilled Social Media Editor should be able to effectively implement editing strategies and stay up to date with the ever-changing landscape of social media.
Employment Status Full-time; Exempt Reports To Creative Director Essential Duties and Responsibilities EDITING (SHORT FORM) REELS & SHORTS DPF (PRIMARY) ADP CORPORATE STUDENT CLUB ACADEMY EVENTS EDITING (LONG FORM) PROMOS, COMMERCIALS, and BRAND VIDEOS DPF (PRIMARY) ADP CORPORATE STUDENT CLUB ACADEMY EVENTS Stay up to date with social media trends Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in style and quality, and optimized for search and user experience for all content channels, including social media, mobile, video, especially short-form content.
Create social teasers, Input music, closed captioning, graphics, and effects to existing videos.
Partnering with social, marketing and design teams to brainstorm and storyboard video concepts.
Managing projects from start to finish.
Developing and maintaining a consistent brand tone, image, and style of edits.
Working with content creators to create engaging social content.
Reviewing, proofreading, and editing completed work before posting.
Other job-related duties as assigned.
Learning and Development Learn the basics of the Dignify System and complete introductions and check-ins as required.
Complete additional training and continuing education as asked.
Attend seminars and meetings as assigned.
Position Requirements 3-5 years of experience as a video editor.
Good knowledge of other social media creation apps such as Canva, VN, Mojo, Cap Cut, Mix Captions, and Vixer.
Must be proficient at all major social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook, and YouTube.
Must have advanced knowledge of the Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro) for editing video content.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be a self-educated learner with the ability to keep up with social media trends and updates to platforms.
Creative and collaborative team player.
Must have a passion for video editing and social media.
Experience in motion graphics animation (After Effects) a plus.
Timely knowledge of social design features and trends.
Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects, troubleshoot creative challenges, and deliver on schedule.
Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
