Our 1:
1 paraprofessional position is an entry-level career that involves helping children and adults on the autism spectrum, a diagnosis that often impacts the areas of socialization, communication, and body movement.
Through meaningful care, you create relationships that are built on trust and respect, that promote confidence and dignity for our clients.
Our paraprofessionals undergo paid training to gain skills in delivering individualized programs utilizing the Rapid Prompting Method (RPM).
Responsibilities With the support and supervision of our knowledgable team, you would Work with a variety of clients in our clinic setting Work either full-time or part-time hours between 8:
30a-5p Gain knowledge (through training) in the area of RPM and how to support a variety of clients with their goals Join a close-knit, supportive team that values collaboration Create lasting positive change for persons with Autism and their families Qualifications We do not require specific experience or education, however, we do look for the following characteristics A genuine desire to help children and adults on the autism spectrum make progress and achieve their goals A steady supply of patience, creativity, compassion, empathy, enthusiasm, kindness, and reliability Desire to learn about Autism and the Rapid Prompting Method The ability to work in an ever-changing environment and adapt quickly to new goals and needs of our clients Job Requirments Eligible to work in the United States Available to work a consistent schedule Ability to pass a background check Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Physical requirements vary based on the specific clients you are paired with.
You may be asked to engage in the following:
push, pull, lift up to 35 pounds and move quickly.
In addition, it is necessary to be able to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk and run.
