WPS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an Engineer - Gas Operations in our Green Bay, Wisconsin location.
This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the office.
Job Summary The Engineer is responsible for the planning and analysis of gas distribution systems including modeling system capacities, scoping gas main and service projects, and providing documentation and budget input.
The engineer provides technical support to other work groups for design requirements, material and equipment needs, construction activities and training to ensure the safe operation of the gas distribution system.
The position is in the Gas Operations Engineering group and will require occasional travel to office/field locations throughout the Company's service territory.
Job Responsibilities Perform timely engineering reviews and approvals for new and existing gas customer load additions, gas main extensions and replacement projects.
Provide engineering direction for the design, permitting, material procurement, construction procedures, emergency action plans and forecasts for project costs.
Review and scope gas projects related to State/Municipal road projects.
Perform gas system hydraulic analysis to evaluate system performance.
Analyze customer load additions and provide solutions for gas service and metering designs.
Serve as the engineering liaison for the Customer Service, Gas Supply, Gas Control, and Field Operations groups.
Support natural gas emergencies by participating in the engineer on-call rotation.
This is a job family posting (Associate Engineer/Engineer/Senior Engineer), experience will be the determining factor.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Knowledge of computer systems and the ability to use a variety of office and engineering software.
Strong written and oral communication and analytical skills with the ability to lead and direct others.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in construction and field practices as well as design, operation, maintenance and repair of natural gas distribution facilities.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in project management, planning, and report writing.
Recommended Skills Analytical Communication Construction Customer Service Forecasting Hydraulics Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
