Family Services cares for individuals who are isolated, abandoned or just need help developing the skills to live successfully.
The Healthy Families program of Family Services is a comprehensive and intensive home visitation program that has a full-time opening for a Family Support Specialist in our Green Bay office.
The Family Support Specialist establishes a trusting relationship with overburdened families by delivering service that is culturally competent, strength-based, family centered and family directed.
Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree in human services or related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum experience of two years or less in field of early childhood education, maternal-child health, family life education, home visitation, social work or related human service field.
Two or more years of experience in home visitation is preferred.
This position requires the ability to assimilate and conceptualize individual client desires and needs into detailed written case plans.
These duties require advanced interpersonal skills and knowledge of programs and community resources.
A valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle, auto insurance and an acceptable driving record and the ability to manage a flexible schedule in order to meet client needs, which may include evenings, are also required.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred.
Melissa, Family Support Specialist, enjoys the opportunity to work with a variety of families to establish a relationship with them and help them with their needs so they can be confident parents as well as feel supported.
It is special to see parents celebrate the things that may seem small, such as their child finally reaching for their toy, and the parents share that excitement with you as the Family Support Specialist.
One of the things that Sandy enjoys most about her position as a Family Support Specialist is building relationships with the families and supporting them in their parenting journey.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
