Warehouse Shipping Clerk REPORTS TO:
Warehouse/Inventory Manager _________________________________________________________________________________ Position
Summary:
Picks, packages, labels, schedules and coordinates outgoing shipments.
Organizes and keeps track of warehouse stocking.
Facilitates inventory accuracy by performing frequent inventory transactions and corrections.
Loads outgoing shipments.
Communicates effectively with Warehouse Manager, fellow warehouse employees and production to coordinate all duties.
Works independently.
Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:
Complete inventory transactions correctly and according to established procedures.
Monitors outgoing shipments, ensures that product is labeled correctly and outgoing paperwork is correct.
Stages product for outgoing shipments.
Loads outgoing shipments unloads incoming shipments.
Communicates effectively with Sales and Customer Service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Cleans and organizes warehouse areas including sweeping, stacking pallets, consolidating partials, and baling cardboard.
Maintains accurate inventory levels of all components in IQMS.
Manually tracks inventory levels for various items and alerts supervisors upon low stock.
Performs inspections on material handling equipment including daily checks on forklift condition.
Dispose of all empty containers, waste receptacles, and other like items.
Report material related equipment issues to your supervisor or maintenance in writing immediately.
Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Clean all material spills around your work area and by each production cell immediately.
Daily participation in team meetings Regular and predictable attendance on assigned shift, including the ability to work overtime occasionally.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education/Experience/Training:
High School diploma (or G.
E.
D.
), preferred.
Six months work experience in a production environment preferred, but not required.
Skills/Abilities:
Must be able to follow instructions (verbal and written).
Must be able to work under pressure/deadlines.
Basic math and problem-solving skills are needed.
Must have basic written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to successfully complete forklift training and operate forklift on a daily basis.
Computer skills a plus.
