Job Description:
Must be a journeyman machinist or equivalent.
Must have ability and willingness to operate any machine tool as necessary.
Will act as temporary operator on machine tools where needed and will not be assigned on a permanent basis to any one machine tool.
Shifting from one machine tool to another may possibly take place during a work shift.
Must have ability to fill the job qualifications of any machine to which he is temporarily assigned.
May be required to assist supervision in break-in or training of employees.
May be required to repair or manufacture jigs and fixtures.
Can be required to work temporarily on the above types of work which could also include inspection, layout, etc.
An important factor in this position is a general knowledge of the procedure, flow and methods used at PCMC which are peculiar to this organization.
Must provide sufficient basic hand tools to properly perform the duties of his classification.
Must exercise care in preventative maintenance on tools or equipment assigned as part of his responsibility.
