HR Associate

Your Job We are seeking an HR Associate to join our team at Georgia-Pacific's paper mill in Green Bay, WI.
The Green Bay facility is one of the largest recycle pulp and paper mill in the country with a total of three facilities within Green Bay, referred to as Green Bay Operations.
This position engages in all aspects of human resources, builds strong internal business partnerships, provides coaching, and offers creative solutions to business issues.
This position works closely with the HR Managers to support their customers while having the opportunity to learn a variety of aspects of HR and work in partnership will all levels of the organization.
Our Team This is an onsite role and will require that you live in the local area of Green Bay, WI.
Ideally, this will be the first position of many exciting opportunities for you to grow within Georgia-Pacific! This role reports to the Business Human Resource Manager and the team consists of three managers supporting 1000
employees/leaders within the three facilities.
What You Will Do Assist in hiring and onboarding of new employees.
Provide day-to-day HR support to leaders in functional areas including, but not limited to talent management, compensation, compliance, performance management, and career development.
Serve as a contact for employees; respond to questions regarding HR related topics including but not limited to the Infor myHR system, personnel information, and interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
Coach leaders in proper application of the PBM compensation philosophy and practices.
Provide research, analysis, and data to assist in effective decision making.
Bring forth new and innovative ideas to improve or resolve HR processes or issues.
Stay connected with the needs of the people by being visible and regularly interacting with all personnel.
Coach and counsel managers on maintaining positive employee relations for a wide range of issues.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Minimum 1 year Human Resources/Recruiting/Onboarding related work experience Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (i.
e.
