Process Control Engineer

Your JobGeorgia-Pacific's Consumer Products division is seeking qualified professionals to consider for the Process Control Engineer position to join our Green Bay Broadway Engineering team located in Green Bay, WI.
This individual will be working with subject matter experts on Control Systems and associated hardware, software, and instrumentation for project work as well as sustainability and continuous improvement efforts.
This will include being responsible for providing design, implementation, and support for existing and new Process Control systems with Field Instrumentation, Control Valves, Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Quality Control Systems (QCS).
These systems are used to meet manufacturing needs and production goals.
Our TeamThe Broadway mill is one of the largest wastepaper recycling operations in the world and recently celebrated its 100-year anniversary.
It uses more than 430,000 tons of recovered wastepaper each year to produce paper products found in airports, hotels, restaurants, hospitals and schools.
What You Will Do Support operations (production, maintenance, and engineering) through both the application of the process control systems and general troubleshooting of the processes to address technical issues with long term solutions in mind Plan and manage process improvement projects Perform project scope definitions and manage a wide variety of technical projects using strong organizational, detail and time management skills Communicate and work with various operational, environmental, maintenance, and engineering levels in a team environment yet be self-motivated and accomplish individual goals Effectively communicate with internal customers and leadership in a clear and concise manner Work with a sense of urgency and customer focus mindset Read and understand P&ID's, loop sheets, and electrical drawings Specify and procure instrumentation and control valves on both small and large projects Provide sufficient information to Designers to produce control system electrical drawings, loop drawings and IO drawings Manage construction with bid packages, contractor interaction and field checkout Learn new programming languages and understand control loop dynamics and tuning Work with Emerson DeltaV DCS and Valmet QCS Systems Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) 2-year Technical/Vocational/Associates Degree or higher in an engineering or automation field OR 5 years of process control engineering experience 2 or more years of professional experience working in a process control engineering capacity Experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word (document creation), Excel (spreadsheets), and Outlook (email and calendar) What Will Put You Ahead Bachelor's Degree or higher in Pulp & Paper, Electrical or Chemical Engineering Experience working within a Pulp and Paper operation 2 or more years of professional experience working with Emerson DeltaV DCS system to include troubleshooting, modifications and additions Hands on programming experience and hardware management in industrial process control platforms and networks Experience working with protocols such as Modbus and/or Ethernet/IP At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
