Summary:
Central Services Technician- Green Bay, WIHospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is searching for a Central Services Technician to serve in our Surgical Services/ Central Sterile department at HSHS St. Vincent and HSHS St. Mary's in Green Bay, WI. This role is responsible for Performing a variety of sterile processing functions. Assuring proper decontamination, quality assurance, sterilization of equipment and distribution of sterile surgical instrumentation to areas throughout the affiliate and outside service contracts to ensure quality patient care and safety. Identifies and remedies equipment failures and hazards posing potential risks to patients.The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Central supply as well as knowledge of nursing procedures, aseptic technique, medical terminology, and infection control Based in Green Bay, WI Collaborative role in surgical services Reports directly to HSHS Manager of Central Sterile Base hourly wage Minimum Requirements:
EducationHigh School Diploma or GED- PreferredExperience 1 year of central supply experience is preferred. Knowledge of nursing procedures, aseptic technique, medical terminology, and infection control is preferred. Certifications, Licenses and Registrations WI-Certified and Registered Central Service Technician is preferred. IL-Certified and Registered Central Service Technician is required within 18 months of employment.
