We have nearly 2,000 reasons for you to consider a career with Prevea Health-they're our employeesWe're an organization that values kindness, responsibility, inclusivity, wellness and inspirationAt Prevea, we provide continuous education, training and support so every member of the team contributes to our successTogether we are the best place to get care and the best place to give careJob SummaryThe Provider Relations Intern will learn the credentialing process for health care providers (Physicians, APPs, and midlevels) from initial hire to first day at orientationThe summer intern will see how internal and external departments work together to onboard a new health care provider and market them to the communityThe Provider Relations summer intern will learn how to work with various internal departments, HSHS and Prevea leadership, and various outside agencies such as Federal Medicare; Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota Medicaid; multiple commercial insurance companies; Wisconsin Association of Medical Staff Services; Drug Enforcement Administration; Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services; and moreThis position will also be involved in data clean-up projects to further enhance our system as the source of truthWhat you will doLearn to navigate and help maintain ECHO Credentialing databaseVerify provider data with contracted insurance companiesObtain and certify primary source verifications for credentialing filesAid with clinical and payor credentialing and credential maintenanceLoad primary source verifications into provider databaseMaintain expired or expiring credentials such as DEA certificates, state licenses, malpractice certificates, etcAssist with second reviewing contract comparisons with commercial insurance.
Education Qualifications Enrolled in an associate's or bachelor's degree program in a healthcare related or business field of studyRequired 3.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
