Primary
Responsibilities:
Assist the buyer with assortment planning
Support advertising and e-commerce processes
Negotiate with vendors to maximize margins and value for our customers
Analyze business and merchandising trends
Partner with the inventory management team to ensure profitable inventory levels
Manage daily communication with vendor and business partners
Be responsible for execution of the Shopko Merchandise Strategy
Minimum Knowledge, Experience & Skills Requirements:
A Bachelor''s degree, preferably in Business or Retail Merchandising, or equivalent experience
A minimum of two years professional work experience
Experience working in a retail setting
A passion for product, merchandising, trend and innovation
Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
The ability to quickly adapt and change course as needed in a fast paced environment
