Position
Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Warehouse Manager in developing, implementing and maintaining the inventory of Martin Systems. The Warehouse Assistant helps control Martin Systems assets and the maintenance of its inventory, and orders it to be put in various financial schedules, statements, reports, and analysis. This position will ensure all policies and procedures are being followed and that the vision of Martin Systems is upheld to the customers and staff.

Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Responsible for the overall inventory and complete knowledge of the inventory while in the possession of the warehouse.
2. Receive equipment deliveries from various businesses.
3. Pack and Ship parts via UPS/FedEX and other carriers as needed.
4. Accountable for assisting the Warehouse Manager in developing procedures within the parts department.
5. Assist in physical inventory counts.
6. Work alongside technicians answering questions and helping prepare equipment for their daily jobs.
7. Responsible for identifying problems within the procedures and taking accountability to properly ask questions and fix them.
8. Make certain the general database procedures are being followed properly to ensure the general ledgers are reflecting the accurate costing.
9. Responsible for maintaining a clean data base for the parts in Sedona.
10. Accountable for changed part information in Sedona.
11. Responsible for daily price shopping and ordering product in a timely fashion.
12. Effectively and efficiently order parts for sales and any special orders from customers and answer customer questions in a professional manner.
13. Assist with the process of over the counter sales and actively process such sales.
14. Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and orderly.
15. Responsible for re-stocking and keeping bins accurate with parts and part numbers.
16. Accountable for returning items for warranty purposes and other reasons in a timely manner.
17. Effectively receive parts in and actively look at the shipping and handling receipt(s) to ensure accuracy for billing purposes and receiving correct parts.
18. Work effectively with other managers to help facilitate the proper flow of inventory.
19. Prepare installation jobs efficiently and accurately.
20. Remain abreast of changes in technology
21. Able to trouble shoot, effectively ask questions and demonstrate patience for discovery.
22. Foster an environment which cultivates learning from all employees even across departmental lines.
23. Assist technicians, installation and service to ensure procedures are completed properly.

Essential Requirements Necessary to Perform this Job:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to:
- Remain in a stationary position 50%

- Have repetitive use of hands/arms/legs
- Move about inside the warehouse and office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, etc.
- Able to type 35-40 WPM on a keyboard
- Occasionally ascend and descend on a ladder
- Move or transport equipment weighing up to 50lbs
