Food Technologist-WI
We have a great opportunity for a Food Technologist to join a rapidly growing food / beverage processing company with annual sales in excess of $2.5B.
The position is newly created due to company growth and offers strong advancement potential within multiple divisions of the company.
Duties include but not limited to product maintenanceproduct cost reduction and product improvements.
Reporting to the R&D Manager this position will also:
o Understand project objectives and organize product development tasks to meet the given timelines.
o Lead junior associates on projects handling project management for multiple projects at a time.
o Develop and / or maintain current product line equivalence to the national brand.
o Evaluate new and / or alternate ingredient suppliers for additional sourcing.
o Provide technical assistance to the Sales departmentQuality Control and all Production departments.
o Lend technical expertise on cross-functional project teams and technical oversight of internal and external
manufacturing start-ups.
o Demonstrate ability to influence project direction by providing technical input to the planning and decision making
process.
o Functions as technical leader for technical focused projectsproviding direction and monitoring various associates.
o Watch for new product trends and product releases that may be of interest and / or possible line extensions for the
business.
o Travel up to 25%.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
